A somewhat atypical practitioner.

I examine the results of Chinese medicine through before-and-after photographs and blood work — not through rhetoric.

I took a long way round. I read Accounting at National Taiwan University and worked as a risk management consultant at Deloitte Taiwan; then I studied translation abroad — an MSc at the University of Edinburgh and doctoral research at Warwick.

That impure background lets me stay close to how ordinary people think, and understand what worries them about treatment. The hardest translation in this world is not Chinese to English but Chinese to Chinese — I am good at taking how a patient describes their own discomfort, rendering it in the language of Chinese medicine, and building a treatment around it.

I cannot promise a complete cure, but I will do my utmost.
